Mystic Messenger developer Cheritz has donated $100,000 of the profits from its __game to three charities.
The South Korean developer donated money to international charity Save the Children and two local charities, suicide prevention charity Lifeline Korea and women's activist organisation Korea Sexual Violence Relief Center.
Mystic Messenger has achieved 2.5 million downloads since launching in July 2016 almost entirely through word-of-mouth. It was ranked fourth on Tumblr's 2016's Top Video Games list.

"We hoped to make people feel happy and warmhearted through Mystic Messenger. We see the game's success as a gift from our users who really sympathized with our goal," said Sujin Ri, CEO of Cheritz.
"The __game industry is fiercely competitive, but we wanted to show that companies and consumers can make contributions together to the world through games."
