The Playdek’s the thing: Playdek revving up for tournament play

Over at 164, Brad recently had a story about visiting the Americas qualifier round for the World Championship of Hearthstone. We’ve often talked about running tournaments (smaller, of course) for different digital strategy games and couldn’t seem to figure out how to make it work without it being a huge pain in the iPad. Playdek wants to make it easier.

We mentioned their upcoming online tournament system back in August, but now things are really rolling. Not only has Playdek started their own forums for game discussion, they’re also using those forums to recruit both iOS and Android playtesters for upcoming Summoner Wars sessions starting on October 25.

If you want to be a playtester, and they’re looking for hundreds of them, you’ll need to sign in to their forums and then you can find all the sweet playtest information right here.  Don’t wait too long, as signup closes on October 16.
