Creative industries fund Creative England has launched a new £300,000 fund for its Gameslab initiative targeted at developers based in the city of Leeds.
Dubbed Gameslab Leeds, the fund will offer between £5,000 and £30,000 to help boost development for smaller companies working on prototypes.
Creative England will also offer non-financial support in the form of group masterclasses which are available to all developers. These will offer advice on marketing, development planning, gaining access to finance and more.

"We know the gaming and digital industry in Leeds has some incredible talents," said Rob Crossley, Head of Games at Creative England.
"We want to find, support and develop the most exciting, innovative and disruptive people and companies to drive the sector even further forward, putting Leeds' gaming sector on a national and international platform."
Creative England defines Leeds as Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York, so there's plenty of scope for developers in Yorkshire to apply.
Applications for the program are open now and will run until 2019. Eligible developers can find out more about the project on Creative England's website.
