A new mobile and VR gaming-focused start-up has raised $1.3 million of seed investment from South Korean VC firm K Cube Ventures.

The company, Playsnak, has been formed by ex-Crytek, NCSoft, EA and Nintendo staff in Berlin and LA, and is led by ex-Crytek Director of Business Development for Games-as-a-Service Paha Schulz.

East to West

Playsnak will focus on taking games from Asia and publishing them in the Western market, as well as developing its own VR titles.

“Through this funding Playsnak will focus on developing and finding innovative VR & mobile games, as well as focusing on bringing the Asian and Western __game market closer together and becoming a true global player in the __game industry” said Paha Schulz, Founder & CEO of Playsnak.
