Mi-Clos honcho Michael Peiffert reveals Out There Chronicles interactive fiction game

He told us not to blow it 'cause he knows it's all worthwhile.

He told us not to blow it ’cause he knows it’s all worthwhile.

Michael Peiffert is giving us more of what we so evidently want: more Out There. Mi Clos Studio founder Peiffert was sharing hard-earned wisdom at Casual Connect Belgrade a couple of weeks back when he slipped in a mention of the previously unannounced Out There Chronicles, a forthcoming interactive fiction game set in the same universe as his hit sci-fi adventure from earlier this year. And here you were probably thinking that Casual Connect was a convention for Tinder enthusiasts. They should probably change that name, maybe.

Besides whatever Peiffert and his writing partner Fibre Tigre have got cooking with Chronicles, we can also expect the remastered Out There Omega Edition early next year, which sports a block of new content and a completely re-written graphics engine. Peiffert gave us a peek at Omega Edition back in August.

The moody Out There was one of the most memorable games I played all year — read my review from February to get a better look at it. No details about a release date or platforms for Out There Chronicles yet, but I’ve pestered Mi Clos for details.

Video of Peiffert dropping indie dev science after the jump.
